Synopsis by Robert Firsching

Panayiotis Konstantinou wrote and directed this Greek melodrama combining two very popular themes of the national cinema throughout the 1960s, the theme of accidentally incestuous lovers and the standard "sheep-opera" theme of a peasant woman driven to madness or suicide by romantic woes. In this case (one of the few in which incest is a fact rather than a near-miss), Christinio (Anna Yerali) is a pretty girl who lives in the mountains and has to overcome various hardships to be together with her beloved (Pavlos Liaros). Of course, he turns out to be her brother and she is so heartbroken that she goes totally insane. Soula Kopsini co-stars with Eleni Zafiriou and Theodoros Moridis.
