Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Chris (Thomas Carnahan) stumbles upon a magic lamp. He rubs the lamp, and out pops not a genie, but miles of stock film footage! Chris and the Wonderful Lamp is an ersatz feature film, cobbling together clips from several Edison Studios productions, as well as shots from a brace of nature films. It's all tied together by the narrative device of little Chris, whose acting is confined to open-mouthed doubletakes. Chris and the Wonderful Lamp served as a valuable technical exercise for future Warner Bros. director Alan (Don Juan) Crosland.
