Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
A rancher (Tom Mix) loses his wife (Louella Maxam) to a notorious gambler (E.J. Brady). Fifteen years later, now a sheriff, Mix saves a young girl (also Louella Maxam) from a runaway buckboard. The girl is his daughter, Ruth, lost in the woods years ago when his wife fled with her lover. Mix later apprehends the gambler -- now a wanted man -- and kills him in a gun duel. This early Mix Western from his days with the Selig Polyscope Co. not only casts Louella Maxam in a dual role as mother and daughter, but features the actress' real-life daughter, Norma Maxam, as the runaway child.
