Synopsis by Nathan Southern
The universally-hailed, Chicago-based Legends nightclub and restaurant, founded in June 1989 by electric blues king Buddy Guy, continues to showcase some of the most electrifying live blues acts in the nation. LaMonte Entertainment filmed and has issued a series of these concerts, so that blues fans nationwide can relive the thrills again and again. The Chicago Blues Jam: Fenton Robinson/James Harman volume of this series has Robinson, known for his velvety crooning and everpresent melodic innovation, and Harman, known for re-pioneering the blues roadhouse circuit and injecting liberal doses of humor into his material, pairing up for a live show at Guy's club. Buzz Kilman provides commentary and interviews with the musicians.
