Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Even though Madge Hemingway (Edna Mayo) is in love with Jim Ogden (Eugene O'Brien), her ambitious mother marries her off to Count Van Tuyle (Sydney Ainsworth). Madge is unhappy from the start, and eventually she leaves the Count and returns to America, staying in her aunt's mountain lodge. She and Jim meet up once again and rekindle their romance. But the Count comes up looking for his runaway wife, so Madge and Jim take off in a canoe. They wind up marooned on a small island for the night. In the morning when the Count finds them, he spouts off a load of idle threats that are quieted with a sum of money. So Madge is able to file for divorce and marry the man she loved in the first place.
