Synopsis by Alice Day
This series of programs explores the diverse array of life under the sea, and the many things that are threatening the health of marine ecosystems. Aimed at students at the intermediate to high school levels, the series provides thought-provoking issues that need to be addressed if the world's oceans are to continue supporting its animal life. In Challenge of the Seas, Vol. 14: Once Upon a Manta, students will learn about the graceful manta ray, whose fins can span 20 feet or more. Ted Danson, president of the American Oceans campaign, is the host.
