Synopsis by Alice Day
This series of 26 programs is aimed at science students at the intermediate to high school levels. They provide information regarding the fragile balance of the ocean environment, and feature underwater sequences of undersea creatures. Many species of plants and animals in the seas have become endangered due to overfishing and pollution, two factors controlled by mankind. When one species disappears or diminishes, a number of other species feels the negative impact. The programs are hosted by Ted Danson, president of the American Oceans campaign.
