Ted Danson, who is president of the American Oceans Campaign, hosts the programs, which utilize underwater photography to reveal the wonders of the sea and its creatures. Many factors contribute to the problems facing the seas, including overfishing, waste dumping, and massive oil spills. Challenge of the Seas: America's Ocean Parks examines ocean arenas, or areas in the seas protected by state and federal governments from fishing and other activities.
