Synopsis by Hal Erickson
After being given the briefest of trial runs in 2000, the half-hour cartoon series Chalk Zone joined the Nickelodeon Friday-night lineup on March 22, 2002. The hero of the series was ten-year-old Rudy Tabootie, an aspiring cartoonist. In his efforts to escape the adult hypocrisy and hot air all around him, Rudy regularly retreated into his own fantasy world via a chalkboard portal. Here he conspired and commiserated with the "ghosts" of chalk drawings previously erased by Rudy's clueless elders. E.G. Daily of Rugrats fame provided the voice of Rudy.
