Sameneh (Sameneh Jafar-Jalali) is excited that her widowed mother's having bought her of a new pair of red boots. She has needed new shoes for quite a while and since her family, like everyone else's, is quite poor, a new pair of boots is a momentous event. On the way to school, she takes a nap on the bus and one boot slips off her foot and slides out of reach. However, everyone in town knows whose boot it is, and after passing through a lot of hands, it is there waiting for her when she gets home.
