Synopsis by Janiss Garza

When Edith Sturgiss (Anna Lehr) comes home from abroad, she finds that her father, Judge Sturgiss (Edmund Breece) has remarried. Unbeknownst to Edith and her father, the new Mrs. Sturgiss (Marie Shotwell) has a son, Dick (Wallace Ray), who spent time in jail. When Edith argues with her stepmother and leaves home, she meets and falls in love with Dick, who while being innocent of the crime he was jailed for, does belong to a gang of crooks. The crooks are aware that the judge has received a package of radium, so when he is found murdered, the suspicion eventually comes to rest on Dick. Finally, an old cobbler (Edward Elkas) reveals that he stole the radium to cure his crippled son. He also witnessed the murder and pins it on one of Dick's associates. Dick is released, and he and Edith wind up together.
