Cemil is a teenaged boy who has grown up with his Turkish parents while they worked and sought prosperity in Germany. He is tight with his German high-school friends and has a gold earring in his ear and a German girlfriend. Thus, when his disillusioned parents announce that they are returning to Turkey, he is anything but overjoyed. While the family is at the airport awaiting return to Turkey, Cemil bolts from the group and tries to make it on his own in Germany. In this independently produced, low-budget drama, when he finds out that it's not so easy to get by (especially after his romance ends), he swallows his pride and goes to be with his family in a country he barely knows.
