This film is the third and final volume in a series that surveys the castles of Scotland. Built by Scottish clans in strategic locations, the landmarks are a testament to the shifting sands of fortune of early times. The castles served as both home and protection for warring clans; one false move could bring a change in tenancy and disaster for the present residents. The viewer goes on tour inside castle walls to see secret chambers, parapets, grand dining halls, and dungeons. Culzean Castle and Fort George are featured.
