Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Always the supporting actor and never the leading man, frustrated actor Hiroshi (Toru Masuoka) seeks the elusive breakthrough role that will propel him to stardom, and out from under the shadow of his famous playwright father (Masahiko Tsugawa). Meanwhile, Hiroshi constantly finds himself mistaken for other people on the streets, and falls for a pretty actress Aya (Hiromi Nagasaku), whose career also appears to have stalled out. When Hiroshi finally lands a major contract it appears as if success is just around the corner. But an unexpected complication forces him to consider the prospect that despite steady work, he may never actually be top-billed.
