Carnival in Rio came into the spotlight once Arnold Schwarzenegger ran for governor and rightly so -- the travelogue is full of exactly the type of sexist behavior that has plagued the actor throughout his career. Whether he's groping dancer's butts with his man hands or sliding a carrot in and out of one of his guides' mouth after teaching her the word "bite," Arnie had every reason to not want this sucker re-released. In its own way, though, the program is a shocking and often hilarious account of the wild and clueless dope that the muscleman once publicly cavorted as. The future "Governator" is a total ham for most of the video, nearly winking at the camera at each chauvinistic moment. The viewer also gets some choice moments of Arnold as the complete goofball, especially during the street party scene that finds him dolled up in feathers and face paint while dancing with what looks like transsexuals with horrifying plastic surgery (it really must be seen to be believed). Worth it as well for his dune buggy and robotic narration, Carnival in Rio is a rare gem that's worth tracking down by any means possible.
