Synopsis by Cammila Collar
Following the 1871 attempted revolt on the part of several liberal-minded Russian military officers, many captured soldiers were sent to hard labor camps in Siberia. With the men went their wives, most of whom came from wealthy, comfortable backgrounds. This story follows the lives of these women and the sacrifices that they made for their families, and their principles.
