Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter
This program tells the story of German photographer Erich Salomon, who made the candid image into an art form. Known for his surreptitious ways, Salomon would photograph unsuspecting famous people in off moments, often revealing new sides to celebrities. Salomon's interesting career suddenly ended when the Nazis took him prisoner. He later died in a concentration camp in Auschwitz. His photographs, along with the remembrances of family, friends, and colleagues, are presented in this documentary.
