Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Director James W. Horne's work in comedy and action pictures is well known, so it's surprising to see his name in the credits of this human interest drama. Mary Grant (Ethel Clayton) is a war widow with a young child (Muriel Dana). Her dead husband's society parents disapprove of her, sight unseen, because she is a cabaret entertainer. They want to take the child away and Mary is just as determined to keep it. When she hears that another man, bearing the same name as her husband, also died in the war, she travels to his father's farm to live with him. But complications arise when the young man (Malcolm McGregor) shows up -- he had enlisted under an assumed name. The situation resolves itself when the truth comes out and he falls in love with Mary. She is finally tracked down by her former in-laws, but they decide she is a proper mother for their grandchild after all.
