Synopsis by Brian Whitener
A technically significant video. In C-Trend, a camera image is run through a processor that scans and distorts the image, line by line, making it resemble something close to an electron microscope image. Except that the image moves. With the image unrecognizable after processing, the sound lets you know what its source is, a traffic camera. This knowledge creates a dynamic between the real and the modified, between source and version, which is the video's terminus and material.
