Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Author Cyrus Townsend Brady wrote the scenario for this curious South Seas drama. Derrick Van Beekman (J. Frank Glendon) and Stephanie Maynard (Patricia Palmer) have agreed to marry only to please their families. They don't love each other; in fact Stephanie actually loves George Harnash (Ed Alexander). On the eve of the couple's wedding, Harnash has Van Beekman kidnapped and put aboard an outbound ship which drops him off on an island in the South Seas. Stephanie, instinctively knowing that Harnash is responsible for Van Beekman's disappearance, refuses to marry him until Van Beekman has been found. The island where he is living turns out to be populated by castaways from a Dutch ship that wrecked, and he falls in love with one of the girls, Truda (Hedda Nova). The castaways are living by a strict code of rules, and when Van Beekman breaks one of the laws, he is condemned to death by starvation. Truda decides to die with him, but a rescue party shows up in time to save them both.
