This was the first in a series of seven erotic sci-fi comedies shot in France for Emmanuelle producer Alain Siritzky by American cult filmmaker Rolfe Kanefsky (There's Nothing Out There). The premise concerns a struggling actor named Norman (Scott Coppola) who pays the bills as a waiter for a catering service. One night, he works at a party hosted by an eccentric millionaire who had been working on an invisibility formula. Naturally, Norman finds a bottle of liquid that smells like butterscotch and proceeds to spill it all over himself, rendering him invisible. From there on, the film becomes a series of comic sexual episodes as the invisible Norman involves himself with several women, exploiting his newfound ability for all that it's worth. Butterscotch: Power Flower was the next installment in the series, bringing back several castmembers and adding a genie to the mix.
