Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Reportedly a cousin of western icon William S. Hart, Neal Hart wrote, directed and starred in this miniscule silent western about a trail guide leading a group of tourists through the wilderness. A member of the group takes a fancy to lovely Hazel Deane and concocts a bogus kidnapping in order to appear the hero. Real bandits interfere, of course, and Hart's trail guide has his hands full cleaning up the mess. According to the film's publicity, Hart based the story on incidents from his days as deputy sheriff of Manville, Wyoming. Leading lady Hazel Deane also acted under the name Hazel Maye.
