Not to be confused with the Charles Chaplin Keystone picture of the same name, this one-reeler features Vim's two comedy teams -- Pokes (Walter Stull) and Jabbs (Bobby Burns) and Plump (Oliver Hardy) and Runt (Billy Ruge). But there's a twist here; Hardy is featured as Peggy Plump, a maiden of ample poundage and few admirers. The only boyfriend she ever had, in fact, was Runt. But when Pokes comes to Pumpkinville and spies Peggy's father receiving a wad of money from the town's mayor, he dreams up a scheme. He hypnotizes Peggy and has her steal the money. They elope, but soon enough Pokes dumps her for a pretty girl. Peggy goes to work at a restaurant belonging to Jabbs, and when Pokes and his new flame show up to dine, she gives him a thrashing. Runt, who has been searching for Peggy this whole time, finds her and the two are reunited.
