Chakra is a 14-year-old who longs to achieve independence. One day, he decides to seek out a local broker to help him get work in Thailand. The broker does, and soon, he embarks on a journey towards Bangkok without telling his family. When he arrives at his destination, however, he finds out that he has been lied to: instead of being employed, he has been sold as a slave to a fishing captain. As he is confronted with death and unrelenting abuse, Chakra is given no choice but to take action.
