This was Adam Sandler's last Universal Pictures film until 2007 screwball comedy film I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. The film grossed $22.6 million and has an 8% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on reviews from 39 critics. The film was released in the United States on September 6, 1996.
