Synopsis by Nicole Gagne

The young Mignon (Kittens Reichert) is orphaned by the death of her father, the American Consul serving in Hong Kong. She is adopted there by the wealthy Kong Hee (Charles Francis) who raises her as one of his own. Years later, the grown Mignon (Violet Mersereau) prays to be able to go to the United States. The trader Foo Shai (Frank Smith) takes notice of her longings and offers to bring her with him to America. In New York City's Chinatown, however, Mignon becomes Foo Shai's prisoner, but she is ultimately rescued by Bruce King (Earl Simmons), a brave young artist who loves her.
