The late '90s saw a huge resurgence of the music, fashion, and dancing of the 1940s swing era that has maintained to a degree into the new millennium. Released at the height of swing's newfound popularity, Bring Back the Romance of Dance: Swing features dancers Evin Jacobson and Noel Galang offering lessons on such essential steps as the Lindy Hop, the Charleston, and the Six-Count Swing all set to the sounds of Nancy Hays and Righteous Swing. Along with the instructional aspect of the program, viewers are given a look at some of the aspects of the swing culture, as well as an appearance by the Cherry Poppin' Daddies performing their hit song "Zoot Suit Riot."
