Synopsis by Janiss Garza
A Japanese girl, Yuki Onda (Tsuru Aoki), is studying at an American college in 1903 when war breaks out between her country and Russia. She heads home, followed by her Occidental sweetheart, Pierre LeBeau (Stanhope Wheatcroft), but in the interests of serving her country, she marries Prince Hagane (Arthur Carewe), the minister of war. LeBeau steals an important government document and offers to return it on the condition that Yuki give herself to him. But Yuki cannot go through with this and instead she commits suicide. This picture was based on the novel by Sydney McCall, and its star, Tsuru Aoki, was almost as well known for being film star Sessue Hayakawa's wife as she was for her own performances.
