Josephine Earle, a former ingenue with the pioneering Vitagraph Company, starred in this low-budget melodrama about a woman falsely accused of poisoning her husband. Earle, who left the screen in 1923, died in 1929 at the age of 37. Branded was released by Lee-Bradford, a distributor of low-budget Westerns.
