Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Produced by something called Niagara Pictures, this obscure silent Western starred George Waggoner who -- many years later, as George Waggner -- would become a prolific writer, director, and associate producer of mainly escapist fare. Besides several Maria Montez spectacles, Waggner is perhaps best remembered for such contributions to the Universal horror oeuvre as The Wolfman (1941) and Phantom of the Opera (1943). Waggner's leading lady in Branded Man was the popular Fritzi Ridgeway.
