Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Andrew Muscato's documentary Branca's Pitch examines the life and career of Ralph Branca a man who had a lengthy career as a big-league pitcher, but is best known as the man who served up the historic game-winning "shot heard 'round the world" to Bobby Thompson in 1951. The movie focuses on how Branca, an old-fashioned buttoned-down man, teams with his polar opposite, writer David Ritz, to create an autobiography that allows the man to express his feelings about being on the losing end of such a historic sports moment.
