Synopsis by Janiss Garza

The plot to this comedy begins with an amusing feminist premise, but then degenerates into typical cinematic tomfoolery. Flapper Jackie Cameron (Doris May) enjoys cultivating a long string of admirers until the day a certain J. Smythe (Harry Myers) opens up a modiste's shop across from the store run by her father (Fred Gambold). Jackie figures that if a man can have a shop that sells ladies' clothes, a woman can have a haberdashery. So she borrows some money from Mr. Skinner, the richest man in town (Otto Hoffman), and opens one up. It winds up outdoing anything her father had imagined. But then at a party, a pair of crooks (Ed Brady and James Farley) mistake Jackie for Skinner's daughter, Evelina (Gertrude Short), and they kidnap her. Skinner offers a two thousand dollar reward -coincidentally the amount Jackie borrowed from him. With the help of Smythe, she escapes her captors, gets her reward and cancels her debt.
