Synopsis by Robert Firsching

This film's success is dependant on the audience's familiarity with the work of Italian comedian Lando Buzzanca. The comedian -- whose comic seduction methods gained him quite a following in Italy and a few other locales -- doesn't appear in the film, but is the central figure on whom much of this film's comedy turns. Tassos Yiannopoulos stars as Apollon, a naive villager who has studied Buzzanca's work inside and out so that when he comes to the big city, he can employ many of the charming actor's patented romantic techniques to use. At the Athens home of his artist cousin Leo (Makis Demiris), Apollon is entranced by one of his models, the lovely young Aphrodite (Rena Kosmidou). The conniving Leo realizes that Apollon is hooked and cons him into posing with Aphrodite and her friends for his next painting, using his cousin's feelings as a lure to bilk him out of his money. Fortunately, Apollon is engaged to a girl named Areti who lives in his small village, and Areti's brother Panagos shows up looking for him, acting as his future brother-in-law's unwitting savior. Zoe Fitoussi co-stars with Maria Synodinou and Poppi Montanari.
