Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Rugged leading man William Farnum starred in Fox's adaptation of Hall Caine's novel The Bondman. Farnum is cast as Stephen Orry, a Manxman who weds Rachel (Doris Woolridge, the daughter of the Governor of Iceland. The marriage goes sour, whereupon Stephen washes his hands of the whole affair, refusing to acknowledge the existence of his son Jason (also played by Farnum). The boy grows up to become the Bondman of the Isle of Man, leading to an exhausting series of thrilling, melodramatic and romantic situations. Running a mean, lean 59 minutes, The Bondman was one of Fox's most popular efforts of the 1915-1916 movie season.
