Marlyn Mason guest-stars as Tessa Caldwell, who is accidentally blinded in a hunting accident caused by Joe Cartwright. More out of pity and guilt than love, Joe offers to marry the girl. Eventually, she regains her sight-but her covetous father (Denver Pyle), anxious to see his daughter wed to a wealthy Cartwright, decides to keep Tessa's recovery a secret.
