Synopsis
This documentary is a loving, expansive portrait of Jamaica by director Khalik Allah. He juxtaposes personal home video with footage of everyday people in Jamaica, exploring themes of religion, colonialism and black womanhood. The film is divided into three sections, each named for a trimester of pregnancy, comparing Jamaica to its black mothers.
