Black Heroes: Freedom Fighters, Cowboys and More is part of a two-tape educational documentary series that highlights the achievements of black Americans. This 22-minute program, appropriate for grades four through six, pays tribute to black heroes from Crispus Attucks, the first American to die in the Boston Massacre of 1770, to Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. Martin Luther King. The other tape in the set is Black Heroes: Builders, Dreamers and More.
