Synopsis by John Patrick Sheehan

Part of the Biography television series from A&E, this documentary reviews the career and personal life of comedienne Gilda Radner. The video starts with her birth in Detroit, Mich. After working with the Second City comedy improv troupe in Toronto, she appeared on the National Lampoon Radio Hour in 1974 and in their off-Broadway revue. She was best known for her work on Saturday Night Live where she was one of the original cast members. On the show she created zany characters such as Baba Wawa and Roseanne Rosannadanna whom she brought to Broadway in Gilda Radner Live from New York. She did several movies with her husband, Gene Wilder. Near the end of her life she wrote It's Always Something about the ovarian cancer that ended her life prematurely.
