This edition of Biography, the long running documentary series from A&E, explores the life of Donald Trump Real estate developer and financier; born in New York City. He was the son of a New York City residential real estate developer, whose Trump Organization he took over. He greatly expanded its holdings and built increasingly grandiose buildings including the Trump Tower, New York and Atlantic City casinos. Known for his sharp instincts and perfect timing, he amassed a fortune. His high-profile political dealmaking and enthusiastic self-promotion made him a 1980s celebrity who suffered a spectacular crash into near-bankruptcy in 1990. Along the way he authored two books, The Art of the Deal and Surviving on Top, and had a highly-publicized divorce from wife Ivana.
