Synopsis by Nathan Southern

The title may be misleading: this entails not a film of the famous Bill Evans concert from the Village Vanguard in 1961 (i.e., an accompaniment to the Riverside album of the same name, Waltz for Debby), but a compilation of footage from two separate concerts: one shot in New Jersey in the autumn of '71 (with accompaniment by Eddie Gomez and Marty Morell), and another shot in London in March of '65 (with accompaniment by Larry Bunker and Chuck Israels). Selections from that concert include: "Gloria's Step," "Nardis," "My Romance," "Waltz for Debby," and "How Deep is the Ocean."
