Synopsis by Steve Blackburn
Children all over the world learn stories attributed to a man named Aesop, who lived around 600 B.C., and wrote a series of morality tales featuring animal characters. Over the centuries, the almost legendary man Aesop has been transformed into the character Aesop, a kind soul who tells clever stories about animals to children. In this video, comedian Bill Cosby assumes the role of the master storyteller and relates the timeless story of The Tortoise and the Hare, in which unlikely competitors have a race that concludes with surprising results. Cosby shares this story with viewers while wandering through an enchanted forest. The program combines live-action with animation, and is appropriate for children ages three to five.
