Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Originally produced for television in 1990, Between Friends was made available on video two years later. Aimed at Latino teens and pre-teens, this project is a series of short "life lessons," offered in succinct, entertaining fashion. The eponymous friends are obliged to make some difficult decisions regarding such particulars as sex, drugs and responsibility. Happily, the series avoids the "Goofus and Gallant" preachiness which usually weighs down instructional programs of this nature. Between Friends was also prepared in a Spanish-language version, Entre Amigos.
