Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Though Dorothy Gish made most of her Triangle movie vehicles on the East Coast, every winter she would head to California for such productions as Betty of Graystone. Directed by Allan Dwan, the film cast Gish as Betty, daughter of the caretaker for Greystone Gables, a New England country estate. When Betty is accosted by the local lothario (played by prizefighter "Kid" McCoy), she inadvertently causes a scandal and is forced to leave the county. But the tongue-clucking villagers are forced to change their tune when Betty returns as the new wife of the young heir (Owen Moore of Greystone Gables. In other words, it's Cinderella, New England style.
