Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
Somehow, Vladimir's (Vladislav Pilnikov) apartment got listed in the papers as a place where the occupant was looking to sell belongings. Material goods are in short supply, and before long, there is a crowd of people at his door, bundled against the winter weather. Somehow, the only thing he can muster the energy to do is let people in and sell most of his things to them. After that, he gets on a train without concerning himself with the destination and is let off in a place where he seems to be well known. Without warning, it is suddenly summer, and Vladimir meets all kinds of odd characters, eventually drifting into the past where he meets younger versions of himself and even his former lovers. His time travels take him through a period which ranges from 1899 to 1917.
