Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Already devastated by the death of his wife, Dick Mantor (Huntley Gordon) is appalled to learn that she was killed while eloping with her lover. Transforming into an embittered woman-hater, Dick squirrels himself away in the country home of a wealthy friend. The friend's niece Betty (Gladys Leslie) hopes to coax Dick out of his shell, not so much out of sympathy as to win a bet that she can make him fall in love with her. For reasons that were as unclear on screen as they are in print, Betty's scheme requires her to spend most of the film disguised as a precocious little girl. The fun begins when Dick demands the presence of both Bettys at the same time.
