Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
The austere life in an Israeli kibbutz doesn't appeal to Shlomo Belfer's sense of the marvelous; he longs to be rich and successful in the city and become an international playboy like his father. What he discovers, when he grows older and wiser, is that life on the kibbutz is not as idealistic and pure as he had believed, and that city-folk give up personal happiness in order to achieve monetary success.
