David Parsons is a choreographer for the American Ballet Theater and the Feld Ballet, as well as a former dancer for the Paul Taylor Dance Company. Behind the Scenes offers a fun exploration of the world of dance for children and adults alike. In this video, hosted by magicians Penn and Teller, Parsons shows how the creative process of developing and teaching a sophisticated dance sequences is based on our movements in sleep. Parsons guides his dancers through the intriguing choreography. Dance students learn how movement can be transformed into patterns in dance and how dances can begin with the simplest everyday movements.
