Synopsis by Tracie Cooper
Originally filmed in the Carribean, this percussive concert mixes the sounds of several continents, including both North and South America, Europe, and Africa. Unique drums are featured throughout, including Haitian "sacred" drums, the Brazilian "musical bow", which had been introduced hundreds of years ago by African slaves, and many other little-known intstruments. Footage of several indiginous artists and percussionists provides insight into how music evolves across cultures and racial barriers.
