Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Singer Eleanor Searle (Doris Kenyon) is traveling by steamer back to the U.S. Also on the ship are an actress, Alison Landis (Gretchen Hartman), and her fiancé Benjamin Staff (Alexander Gaden). Alison, with the unknowing help of Staff, has smuggled the priceless Cadogan necklace aboard in a bandbox. Sharing Staff's cabin is the mysterious W.H. Iff (Walter McEwen), who closely resembles master crook Arbuthnot Ismay (also played by McEwen), who happens to be Eleanor's father. Eleanor believes it is her father who has made off with the necklace, but after a tussle with Staff over bandboxes, she winds up with it. She is pursued by both Ismay and Iff. Iff, it turns out, is really her father, and when Ismay spirits her off to an island, Iff goes after them. Staff, who has grown to love Eleanor, accompanies him. Ismay gets his just desserts, and Iff, Staff and Eleanor are reunited.
