Veteran music documentary and music video director Kevin Kerslake helmed this documentary on feminist icon and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Joan Jett. It examines her career before the breakthrough success of “I Love Rock ’n Roll” in 1982, her longstanding partnership with songwriter/producer/manager Kenny Laguna, and her activism for animal rights and the environment. It also features interviews with Debbie Harry, Iggy Pop, Billie Joe Armstrong, and Miley Cyrus.
